One Candle Refill Kit includes everything you need (pre-mixed scented wax, 1 wick, 1 centering stick) to make one 10oz candle (~60hrs burn time).

If you'd like to use your kit to make more than one candle (or a candle with multiple wicks) you can purchase additional wicks here and centering sticks here.

In the Refill Kit, you receive everything you need to give your candles new life including: pre-mixed scented wax, a lead-free cotton wick with adhesive, and a wick holder!

Our Clean Candle Refill Kit makes one 10 oz candle.

There are two ways we recommend cleaning out your candle vessel to prep it for your refill.

1. The Boiling Water Method:

Pour boiling water into the container, leaving room at the top. (If your candle is made of a soft wax, such as soy wax, you can use hot water that's not boiling.) The boiling water will melt the wax and it will float to the top. Let the water cool and remove the wax.

Check out how we do it on Instagram.

1. Freeze the Candle Wax

Cold causes wax to harden and shrink, making it easier to remove. Use a butter knife—or a spoon if your wax is soft—to break up any large chunks of wax that remain in the container if the jar has a narrow mouth. Place the candle in the freezer for several hours or until it is frozen. The wax should pop right out of the container, but you can also loosen it with a butter knife if necessary. Scrape off any residue and then clean the container with soap and water.

YAY-- now you're ready for your Candle Refill!

Please stick to tumblers, cups, and jars that can withstand heat, and won’t leak, crack, or catch fire that are approximately 4" x 3" wide.

For example:

• Ceramic (check out our Eternal vessel)
• Glass (mason jars are great!)
• Sealed metal tins
• Enamel

We want to encourage you to upcycle any empty candle jar or vessel that you have at home.

However, if you don't have a vessel at home that you'd like to upcycle, you can start with our Eternal Vessel, which is the perfect size (and companion) to get you started on your Everly journey.

No microwave, no problem! Simply bring a pot of water to a low boil on your stovetop. Place the open bag of candle wax in the water and let it simmer until all the wax is melted—about 5 minutes. Carefully remove the bag and when it is cool enough to touch, pour liquid wax into your vessel.

Our Candle Refill Kit is packaged in a Biotre® bag. The bag is made using renewable materials of wood pulp and cellulose. Sixty percent of the bag’s material by weight is compostable within 12 weeks. The remaining inner film is made with an additive that causes it to degrade over 5-10 years vs. the estimated 1,000 years for typical plastic materials.

Feel free to send us your bags and we will compost them for you.

Email us at hello@tryeverly.com to start the process.

All of our candles are made with a blend of natural coconut and soy wax. We do not use any additives or petroleum-based products ever.

Our scents are a combination of essential oils and CLEAN, non-toxic fragrance oils free of parabens and phthalates.

Our Refill Kits are as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Add the wick to the bottom of your (clean) vessel and secure with the wick holder.

2. Microwave the pouch for two minutes, upright, in a microwave safe bowl.

*In the rare event that the packaging is damaged in shipping, a dish will catch any leaks.

3. Pour liquid wax into your container of choice.

4. Allow the wax to set for 3-4 hours. Trim wick, light and enjoy!

*For the best burn, wait 24 hours before lighting your candle.

Still need help? No worries, check out our how to video.

Although you can light your candle after 3-4 hours, we recommend you wait at least 24 hours for the best burning experience. Waiting 24 hours will ensure your candle doesn't tunnel and burns evenly.

Candle Tunneling:

Did you use a 4 x 3 in vessel?
Did you wait at least 24 hours before burning your candle?

Both of the above could be the reason why your candle baby is tunneling. You can fix a tunneled candle by wrapping a piece of aluminum foil around the edges and simply letting it burn. Make sure the foil hangs over the built-up wax areas, but leave an opening in the center so the wick can still burn properly. After a couple of hours, the wax should melt and even out the surface.

Make sure you're trimming you candle before each use!
